Shabbat Shalom - Friday Night

By Friday afternoon, we had a full house of friends and family.

Janet and mom had flown up from Phoenix, AZ. Aram flew in from Chicago, IL. And Eden flew in from Long Beach, CA.

Once they all found each other at the Salt Lake City airport, the hopped into their rental car and headed into SLC for lunch. The restaurant agreed upon in advance was a local hotspot called "Moochies". Aram had seen it featured on the Food Network and it has a reputation for making the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches.

Once lunch was over, Janet and company headed north to Logan. Since it's an hour and a half drive from SLC to my house, it was good that they stopped for a bite to eat first.
Once they all arrived... first stop was to check out the State Liquor Store in Logan. Once Janet say all the Utah made wines, she decided to get a bottle each one. Where upon, we sampled them all weekend long. We are already planning a trip to southern Utah wineries next summer.

As sunset fell, we all gathered around my kitchen table to kindle the shabbat candles.

Then continuing in the tradition of Shabbat, we blessed the bread and wine.

With that... dinner was served. The younger boys dug in with gusto. Scooping up platefuls of my famous Chicken Pasta Salad.

Meanwhile, the older boys decided to carry on with their game of Texas Hold'Em.

We rounded out the evening with cups of tea and coffee.

Everyone enjoyed the quiet night of visiting. It was such a happy family reunion for all.
