We all arrived in Lake Tahoe, the night before, under the cover of darkness. Devon, the boys, and I, came in from the north, driving through an icy mountain pass that was screaming out warnings of "SNOW TIRES OR CHAINS ONLY". Carolyn, Phil, & Jenica, came in from the west, driving through snow flurries. And Brandi's team arrived from the south, on the worst possible route, which caused their car to spin out. Luckily, their friend Tim had chains for his vehicle or the wedding wouldn't have happened.
The morning of Brandi's wedding was absolutely gorgeous. We all woke up to blue skies and were finally able to see the cute little resort town we'd driven through the night before. Devon and I picked Brandi up at her motel and took her out for coffee and bagels.
After breakfast we took her for a short drive around Lake Tahoe... so she could see it. Then it was on to the salon for a manicure, back to the bridal suite to get dressed, the wedding was at 4:00 pm at the Rhodeway Inn, followed by dinner at Harrah's hotel.
Everything went according to plan. It truly was a picture perfect wedding.

It was a lot colder than it looks... we took off our jackets for the photos.

Brandi eating pizza... just after having her hair & make-up applied.
She was able to gobble down two pieces and stay clean and tidy.

It's almost time... for the wedding... not the baby.
He's not due to arrive for another month.

Going into the Wedding Chapel.
I kept hearing that Bette Midler song in my head,
"Going to the Chapel and I'm gonna get married.")

Last minute paperwork. Being that it was California,
I am sure their was more red tape than any other state.

Aunt Jenica (Devon's sister) & Ava.
This is the only photo I have of Jenica.
She was serving as the videographer, which is why
she is noticeably absent from so many photos.

Nate's family.
Unfortunately, this is not a good shot, because at this point
there were too many cameras going off, a no-one knew where to look.

Who gives this bride away? "I, Devon Whitney."
Devon's one line in the ceremony. Phew. Now he can sit down and relax.
