Joshua's Eagle Scout Project - Part 8

August 27th - Mission Accomplished!!!

After months of hard work... Joshua's Eagle Project is now finally complete.

On Friday, August 27th, Congregation Brith Sholem members and guests, gathered together before Shabbat Services, for the unveiling of the project.

We were thrilled will all the special people that came out that night.  Of special note, was my sister & brother-in-law (Aunt Janet & Uncle Jack) who drove up from Park City, UT to attend services.  Joshua's scoutmaster from Troop 1 and his wife (Tom & Connie Hogan), who drove down from Logan.  And last, but not least, Troop 1 scout (Cameron Kent), who repeatedly came down from Providence to help with the project.

Joshua and Cole, led everyone in the Sheheyanu Prayer.  Which is a special prayer in Judaism that is used for special occassions, or when doing something the very first time.

The prayer seemed very appropriate for the dedication of the synagogue's newly landscaped front yard:

Of course, the project was not complete until it got the final seal of approval from Joshua's grandmother.  When my mom flew up to Utah, two weeks later for the Jewish High Holydays, stopping by the synagogue to check out the patio was the first order of business.

Grandma was impressed at the great job and voiced her approval with a very big thumbs up!

Here's Grandma Pat viewing the Eagle Project on Erev Rosh Hashanah.

So to close, I am adding one last set of pictures so that everyone can see just how much of a difference, Joshua's project made to improve the appearance of our synagogue.
