Day at the Beach

All the boys had such fun at the beach! Having totally different thresholds of "cold tolerance" their clothing ranged from sweat shirts to swim suits.
The first order of business was digging a deep hole.

David volunteers to be buried.

Here's David looking like he's been left for dead.

Next victim (I mean "volunteer") was Ehman. For his burial at sea, the cousins decided the hole had to be deep enough that Ehman could stand up in it. I have no idea why this was so important... but it was. The boys started to dig so deep it looked like they were digging a hole to China. Finally, the task was complete.
Ehman was picked up & dropped into the sand pit.

Mount Ehman.

After the two burials, the cousins started to wander down to the waves. Only David was brave enough to contemplate swimming.

Here's David happily waving to the camera.

"EEK!!!" This seems to be a little colder than he expected.

"Ahhhh. Way too cold!"

Even with David's immense capacity for tolerating the cold, he decides that it's too cold to play in the waves today. I guess a wet suit would have come in handy.

The cousins pose for one last shot as we head to the parking lot. There we begin the task of getting enough sand off their clothes and feet, so that we don't bring home half the beach!

Any day at the beach is a good day!
