Within the past 27 hours, 11 scouts and 3 leaders from Boy Scout Troop 1 have arrived at Salt Lake City International Airport, checked their luggage, boarded a United Airlines flight to Houston, TX, boarded a United Airlines flight to London Heathrow Airport, landed, stopped at a coffee shop in Maidstone, Kent, UK, and finally, made it to their respective host families in Ashford, Kent, UK!
During the next three weeks, our sharp looking leaders and scouts, will be busy getting to know their host family members, touring castles, Stonehenge, London, Canterbury Cathedral, overnighting at Brownsea Island where scouting began, doing a D-Day tour at Omaha Beach, and touring Paris, France…and that is only part of their respective itinerary!
Stay tuned in the days to come…with stories, photos, and perhaps some video of their incredibly adventurous journeys…experiencing the thrills of interacting with scouts from the 8th Ashford District, Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom!
