Today we went to Bodiam Castle. We caught the Kent and East Sussex steam train for the four stops to Bodiam. We ate our picnic lunch in the grounds of the castle and then we went up the Turrets of the part that remains. We also saw a medieval re-enactment of the punishment in those times.
Then we got the train back to Tenterdan where we started. We took the boys to our supermarket "Tescos" to gather some Pizza and other bits for our Tea which we are cooking as I write. The boys are on their Xbox games machine playing together really nicely.
They bought theirselves a big bar of Cadbury's Galaxy chocolate for £1 which I think they will eat while watching a movie tonight.
Then we arrived at Bodiam we passed Alison who is hosting your other Son Joshua. They had been to the castle for the morning. So that's nice they did the same thing today.
Tomorrow we have our fingers crossed there is sun (that's the prediction) and if so we want to go to Hyde and Dymchurch and Folkestone. These are coastal towns on the English Channel in South East Kent (our nearest beaches). So hopefully a few beach games and a walk around the town will be as successful as todays trip.
It sounds like David & Ian are getting along well with their their "host brothers" George and Jack. I was happy to hear the David is eating. I was a tad worried with him being such a picky eater in all. As a matter of fact, I felt compelled to warn Cherie in advance... so that she would be prepared. But, it looks like he got to have cereal for breakfast and a salami sandwich for lunch. Both of which he loves! So I think he'll survive after all.
It's good to know that both Joshua and David are doing well with their respective host families. I am so appreciative to the loving care they are receiving from their host families. It's a lot to take on bringing two boys into your home. So it's a relief to know that everyone is getting along well.
Sounds like both Joshua and David have full schedules tomorrow with their host families... and then Monday it is on to London. That part of the trip involves lots of sightseeing, a trip to the theatre, and a stay in a Hostel.
NOTE: Cherie will be sending photos soon. Which I will add to this post later.
